| NEWS Date: 8/7/2009 Forgotten Children premieres tomorrow at the Rhode Island International Film Festival! And here is a nice article in the Providence Business News about it. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 5/14/2009 Forgotten Children, our film for Big Hope Films finishes casting this weekend, with a production end date of June 18th. So this one should be in the can soon. Also, after 6 hours of footage, There She is, Mrs. Massachusetts wrapped. I'm thrilled with the quality of the footage we got, and thank everyone who helped make this project possible. We're aiming for the Sundance deadline for editing. There is some exciting news about a feature screenplay, which I can't reveal yet. See. This is called dramatic suspense. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 03/18/2009 And the hits keep coming. My feature script ManBoobs is a finalist in the Beverly Hills Film Festival. Forgotten Children, the screenplay I wrote for Big Hope Films, is being cast in April. I am directing a humorous documentary: There She Is, Mrs. Massachusetts which starts filming this weekend. And Followed is complete, and making the rounds at film festivals as we speak. I'll keep you updated! ____________________________________________________________________________________ Date 11/11/2008 Busy, busy, but all good. A Seattle director picked up my script Followed last month for production. Also, a local Olympic Champion in Tae Kwon Do hired me to write his next feature script which will be filmed overseas in 2009. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Date 7/04/2008 Long time no update, but rest assured, I have been busy. Specifically, I just discovered I will be going to LA in August because my screenplay Sasha (co-authored with the lovely Andrea Henry), is a finalist in the Feel Good Film Festival! ____________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 2/1/2008 Just discovered that my drama feature script, Synchronicity was a quarter-finalist in Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope Screenplay competition. There were over 2000 entries, and they picked 200 to move on. Here's to being in the top 10%! Also, I will be performing stand-up for the Erma Bombeck Convention in Dayton, Ohio again. They only selected three comedians who performed last time to give an encore performance, so I am very honored to be chosen. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 1/14/2008 And PrintError is nearly wrapped! We just have a few pick-ups to get, and we'll be done. I'll keep you up on updates. Also, I found out a month or so ago that my script, Night Terrors was chosen to be in The Vine Entertainment film festival. It was one of 50 out of 800 scripts eligible to be selected for The Fruit of the Vine Award, to be filmed by The Vine Entertainment. As this was the first draft of the script, I was very honored it got this far. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 9/15/2007 After a lengthy pitch process, I will be directing two short films, PrintError and Surviving Hector, written by the occasionally charming Gene Doucette as affiliated productions for the Rhode Island Film Collaborative This is slightly different than their official production, which we were actually pitching for, but we're still very excited! I will let you know about film progress, and we'll probably have a website for our production company once we decide on a name. Also, they keep throwing screenwriting awards at me. Just found out I won fourth place in my heat for my romantic comedy short script, H.G. Wells Air, in the NYCMidnight Competition. Yay! (No, that isn't a typo. I really wrote a romantic comedy. And it actually won something. Really. Go look.) Also, our four-award-winning 48 hour film is online here! And you can buy a copy of the Best of Providence DVD (with our film on it) here. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 8/20/2007 Well, well, welll! Talk about an exciting week! I just found out my script Synchronicity just won an Honorable Mention in the 2007 Twin Rivers Film Festival! ___________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 8/13/2007 Four Awards for our film, The Pitch, last night! 2nd Runner-up for Best of Providence, Audience Favorite for our Screening Group, Best Twist Ending, Best Sound Design. The Best of Providence DVD is available. I'll let you know as soon as I know the link to order one. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 8/9/2007 More good news! A movie I co-wrote for LTJ Productions for the 48 hour Film Project was selected as one of the Best of Providence! Screening and Awards are at the Columbus Theater, Providence at 6:30 p.m. Sunday! The movie is called The Pitch. It will also be on a Best of DVD coming out soon. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Date: 6/6/2007 Woo hoo! Just heard that our screenplay, Sasha, I wrote with the superstar Andrea Henry was awarded a recommendation from the Kids First! Film Festival...the largest kids' festival in the world! ____________________________________________________________________________________ |
