| WHO THE HELL IS THIS CHICK ANYWAY? Irreverent and only occasionally relevant, Jenn Dlugos's eclectic sense of humor has made her an award-winning comedian and screenwriter. In August 2004, she was featured on the PAX Network where she won Most Promising Comic at the Unsigned Artists' Showcase at the MGM Grand in Vegas. She has performed all over the Northeast and also for The Erma Bombeck Humor Writers Convention in Dayton, Ohio. Jenn is an award-winning screenwriter, winning awards for five screenplays (two shorts, three features) including the Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope Competition, Rhode Island International Film Festival, Twin Rivers Media Festival, The Vine Entertainment Film Festival, The Kids First! film festival, the Feel Good Film Festival, and the NYCMIDNIGHT Screenwriting Challenge. She was the screenwriter for the short film The Pitch for Love Thy Job Productions for the 48 Hour Film Project. The film won four awards: 2nd Runner-up for Best of Providence, Audience Favorite, Best Twist Ending, and Best Sound Design. You can check out the film here. She currently completed a script for a 30-minute true ghost story for Firesite Films, and is also the screenwriter for Big Hope Films, a charity which helps disabled children realize their dream of making a film. Her edgy humor won her the Shock Your Mama! humor writing competition, and she was recently published by Travelers' Tales in the book, Whose Panties Are These? and Chicken Soup for the Soul. In 2000, she published her first book, How to Survive a Small Town Without Being Trampled by a Cow. To see Jenn live, check out her schedule. But if you're running short on cash, reading this article about her from the Patriot Ledger is really the next best thing, and you won't have the awkwardness of actually having to speak to her. |
